Plastic won't react with the Kefir's acidity like metal would. The mesh is fine enough to catch even small grains that have broken off the big ones. I'll get many years out of this one. Thank you.

These work perfectly for water and milk kefir grains. I use them also for rinsing rice. They can be washed in the dishwasher or hand-washed. Mine have lasted over 2 years now.
Sturdy, great in the dishwasher, love the side grip to prevent slipping. Glad I didn’t buy the smallest size!
This 4” strainer fits perfectly in the funnel I use. It seems well made with a comfortable handle.
