I received my grains in the mail on a Tuesday and immediately put them in 3/4 cup of milk to start waking them up. I strained them and added fresh milk every 24 hours. The milk stayed pretty thin for about 4 days but then began to thicken gradually each day. At the 1 week mark I increased to 1 cup of milk. At the 10 day mark the grains have now doubled and I’m using 2 cups of milk that is producing thick, delicious kefir in 24 hours. I don’t have a source for raw milk so I am using Alexandre Family Farms organic vat pasteurized (lower temperature). Thank you Yemoos!
I’ve bought these live kefir grains twice lately, and they are absolutely awesome. A couple of months ago, I was dealing with some gut health issues and started taking probiotics, which helped. After learning more about the benefits of kefir, I decided to try making it myself with these grains — and I’m so glad I did.
I also followed advice from ChatGPT to drink kefir about an hour before meals, so the heat from food wouldn’t kill the good bacteria. Along with that, I made sure to eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits to properly feed the good bacteria. Within just a couple of weeks of drinking kefir consistently, the results have been beyond my expectations — my digestion, energy, and overall well-being have noticeably improved.

I had tried two other sellers over the last year and a half. I could never get the grains to multiply even though I gave them six months or more. I’d never tried kefir before making my own with your grains. It’s exceptionally easy, I mix the kefir with chia/ flax/ and berries. This whole thing started because I’m trying to get more probiotics and fiber in my daily nutrition. I decided to buy a sourdough starter at the same time because “why not?” I’ve made several loaves of 100% whole wheat flour and I couldn’t have been more proud of my first loaf than I would be a first child. It too was easy, though a lot more steps than making kefir. I watched a ton of YouTube videos and started baking. Very happy with your products!
