Works just like it should, made a great drink
Excellent purchase, purchased ginger beer plant from different company before sub par compared to this one. Ordered 2 both took of great . Very good instructions would recommend. And will probably buy another batch
I have purchased quite a few times. I eventually get distracted and lose my culture, so need to re-order. My fault.
Packaged well, shipped promptly. Instructions easy to follow. I've had water kefier before, wanted to try this. It has been growing fast. Within 1 week the grains greatly increased in volume. Can't wait to drink more.
I ordered GBP about two years ago, and it grew well according to the instructions provided. After tweaking ratios of sugar (and types) to ginger and fermentation time with some trial and error, I was producing amazing homemade batches of some *super* tasty ginger beer with a nice ABV at around 4-5% (using a hydrometer) in flip-top bottles. The only problem I had was sourcing enough fresh ginger to feed my baby! At times when I let it go longer than I should have, with proper feeding it always bounced back again. Not as quickly as those who are familiar with water kefir, but this very special little microbe mix still rebounded for me. Sadly after around a year I got very busy and my poor little GBP was neglected too long (so long it started to dry out....yes I was a bad mom!).
I wish I had properly tried to preserve some to bring back at a later time, so it looks like I will need to order some more again as the ginger beer this makes is so much better than anything else you can get and I need it in my life again! It is so very hard to find a source of true GBP, and I'm very glad that Yemoos makes it available.
