The ginger beer plant from Yemoos has been alive and well from the very first feeding. A fan of Yemoos' water kefir, this is my first adventure with GBP. The 2nd ferment is more explosive and a bit less sweet, more beer-like than kefir, which I like. As the instructions state, it's a bit slower for the 1st ferment than kefir. But it's worth the wait.
