Notes: Upon arrival, the milk kefir may give off a strong yeasty and/or sour smell when you open the bag, this is just from the natural gas produced by the grains and is to be expected.

I had trouble starting at first, and it didn't smell so good, like sour milk! Then I had to go out of town for a weekend, so I put my Kefir in the fridge, but when I got back and started again, i got my first batch, and it tasted great! I'm very excited to go forward, and share with my daughter!
First timer making own kefir. Never liked the store bought stuff. I tossed my first batch as recommended and have been drinking it everyday since. The grains have more than doubled in two weeks and I’m looking forward to making some cream cheese. I am using raw milk from a local dairy only 15 minutes from home.

These are really good grains. I was able to have them double within a week. Of course the main reason was that I am able to buy raw milk from a dairy farm 30 minutes from my home. Very happy with these grains and really enjoying the kefir. Yum.
