So I received the kefir grains about a week ago now. I've been passaging them in my Weck jars sometimes changing the jar sometimes not. The first couple days the milk (using whole) didn't change too much, but then it started to more and more. It wasn't "rotten milk" smell, but was yeasty kinda and sour smell. Now (as of yesterday) it's fairly thick and quite sour (and less yeasty). I've drank every batch and didn't die. :0) I think it's starting to look-like / taste-like kefir. I use the strainer and the little "hat" that came with my kit and everything seems fine. Hopefully I'm doing it all right, but I'm continuing along. Yemoos has great information and videos and I plan on digging into it more and more. Thank you for a awesome product! :0)
This is my first time raising kefir grains. So far these little guys are doing amazing.
My milk kefir we named "Galaxias" and my water kefir "Aquarius"
It took almost no time at all for both to start churning away. I'm already drying half of Aquarius for deep freeze after he exploded in growth.
Galaxias has produced some incredible kefir and I even made 2 batches of cream cheese (one of which I used in stuffed shells this very evening)
I used the whey from my cheese as a hair treatment and to kickstart my compost bin into overdrive.
The tight-weave covers look like adorable little chef hats on my mason jars.
We all got a huge kick out of the adoption certificates in our package. Y'all seriously go above and beyond.
I look forward to ordering more from you in the future.
I absolutely love my starter kit . The package was superb and I bought it from the UK.
It is producing fantastic kefir and I am delighted with Yamoos . Thank you
I am thrilled with my purchase from Yemoos!!!! I had a horrible experience with another company and was bummed, but my experience with Yemoos has renewed my faith in good honest companies that have excellent products! Thanks you Yemoos!!!! ❤️
The package took longer than expected to arrive, but my grains were healthy and produced a cup of kefir on the first attempt. I have had my grains less than two weeks, and they are multiplying and producing excellent tasting kefir. My daughter asked if she could have some extra grains as they are quickly multiplying and the milk kefir process is simple.
